Welfare Reform and Suburban Chicago Transit Demand Draft
In this draft report we present our recommendations to Pace, the suburban bus division of the Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) in northeastern Illinois, to alleviate many of the access-to-jobs problems imposed on those receiving Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF). The scope of the planning process is region wide and includes the six-county northeastern Illinois region, the service area of Pace. This study is unique in the rigor with which it matches clients and jobs over this large region.
